What is Balanced Dog Training?

Balanced dog training incorporates both positive reinforcement and fair corrections. Positive reinforcement is employed to commend good behavior, while corrections are applied to effectively communicate when a dog's behavior needs adjustment. This approach allows us to communicate the difference between right and wrong to our dogs, and utilize a variety of tools to achieve optimal results in training.

What tools do you use in training?

There’s no one-size-fits-all approach to tools in dog training. We focus on selecting the tools that work best for your dog’s individual needs. Some of the tools we may use include martingale collars, slip leads, prong collars, and e-collars. We’re always happy to explain in detail how each tool works and how it can benefit your dog.

Do you offer e-collar training?

Yes, we offer e-collar training and can discuss how it may fit into your dog’s training plan during your consultation. While e-collars are not mandatory in our program, we encourage an open mind toward the tools we suggest, as they are chosen to best suit your dog’s unique needs.

Can you help my canine & feline companions get along?

At this time, we do not offer services for addressing relationships between dogs and cats within the same household.

Do you help households with multiple dogs experiencing aggression/fighting?

Currently, we are not accepting new cases involving inter-dog aggression between dogs in the same household.

Do any of your services expire, and do you offer refunds?
